1) Why do I have to keep logging on after I don’t use the site for a while?
If you don’t use the site for 2 hours, you will “time out”. Timing out means that the web site will automatically log you off if you don’t interact with the web site (by clicking a link or submitting a form). This is a security feature to reduce the chance that an unauthorized user will gain access to your account if you forget to log off and leave the computer. Timing out cannot be turned off.

2) Why aren't people contacting me?
There could be several reasons why you aren't being contacted. — Perhaps there isn't enough information in your Profile to attract attention. — Have you posted a photo? People with photos are contacted more often than those without. — Check your Profile under the category of Who I'm Looking For. Make sure you are not being too specific and discouraging people.

3) What does “Interested” mean? What is an "Interested" List?
Sending an "Interested" message is a quick way to learn if a member is interested in connecting with you. If the person you’ve expressed interest in would like to correspond with you, you’ll received a response on your "Interested" List. You may view your “Interested” List from the Navigation Bar or from your Home Page.

4) I want to create a Profile that others can view. How do I do this?
One way is to click Get Started on the Welcome Screen. Follow the instructions. Another way is to click Sign Up in the top Navigation Bar. Signing up creates the essential elements of a Profile. Once you have signed-up, you can add more information to your elementary Profile, accessed from your Home Page.

5) When one member e-mails another member, where does the E-mail go? Where can I see the e-mails that have been sent to me?
When one member e-mails another, the E-mail travels electronically through the internal FiftyPlusConnect.com e-mail system. This system was constructed especially for the site in order to protect the anonymity of the site members and subscribers. You may view your e-mails from your Home Page, or from the top Navigation Bar. The site will also send copies of e-mails you sent to your external e-mail account--the account you gave when you signed up.

6) How do I change the way my Profile appears to others? How can I add or change the Photos on my profile?
You may alter your Profile and/or the Photos from your Home Page. Your Home Page is accessible from the Navigation Bar, and after you log on.

7) I’ve found a member that I’m interested in. What do I do next?
You have a choice of different actions. You might want to send an “Interested” message. If the member is interested in you, an “Interested” message will appear on your “Interested” List. This list may be viewed from the Navigation Bar, or from your Home Page. Another possibility is to send an e-mail. If the subscriber writes you back, you’ll find the e-mail by clicking View E-mail(s) on your Navigation Bar, or your Home Page

8) The site keeps prompting me to log on after I try to A-List, E-mail, express interest in a member or join a Chat Room. Why? What can I do?
The site is programmed so that you must be logged on to participate in any of the site activities.

9) The site keeps prompting me to become a subscriber whenever I try to e-mail or join a Chat Room. Why? What can I do?
The site offers many free features, but in order to correspond via e-mail or enter a Chat Room, you must subscribe to the site. You may subscribe by following the instructions in the prompts, or from the Navigation bar. Please read the Terms and Conditions of Service and Use, and the Safety Tips before joining.

10) Why are there so few members on this site?
